Wherever things live, there's moisture.
Moisture is everywhere. Places you don't often go to, such as the garage, shed, boat, caravan and meter cupboard. Places with little or no ventilation that remain out of sight.
But also places that you do see, and where you least expect it, such as the living room, kitchen, hall, toilet and bedrooms.
Moisture occurs in houses in two ways.
1. We produce moisture with the normal things we do:
- breathing (people and pets)
- cleaning and washing
- watering plants
2. Moisture can come from either outside or inside:
- errors in the building structure
- penetrating humidity
- poor quality finishing
- use of wrong materials
